Going Private

Alright guys, I've decided to go private. I don't like how I'm getting random comments from people I don't know! So if you want to continue following my blog please leave your email. Thanks!

This is what happens.........

When you have a boy! A huge scab on his forehead from running around in the house and then slamming his head into a chair, and a bloody lip from running into the door knob. Yeah, not sure how that really happened. People probably think that I abuse him, poor guy. But boy is he one active toddler. He just wants to run all the time! Forget about sitting down and coloring a book with him. That will last probably 10 minutes. Sheesh! I find myself constantly exhausted with him, and trying to find things to keep him busy. I've learned that if he's not actively doing something, then that's when he gets into trouble. Now I have 2 boys, and I don't know how I'm going to survive! But I sure love them and wouldn't change it.

Twilight

So it took me a while to get on the band wagon and read the Twilight series. All I kept hearing about were these books, and EDWARD. But hearing that it was about Vampires just didn't appeal to me. I never read anything about Vampires, and really not a fan of them anyway! But I decided to just try the first book considering the first movie was going to be out in like 4 months.

Ok, I read the whole series in 2 weeks!! Yeah, do you think I liked it? Oh my gosh, I seriously fell in love with the books. I don't think I was a very good mom those 2 weeks, because I just couldn't put the books down. Thank goodness for a GREAT husband!

So anyway, my sisters and I decided to go see New Moon together because they read the books as well. We decided we would have a little fun with this and get all decked out! We painted our nails black, got shirts, I got a wrist band that says, "Vampire girl", Tami got a ring that Bella wears, and Natalie got a necklace. I know, we're so a tween right now but we had so much fun doing it!

When Tami and I went to the mall to look for shirts we saw Edward and Jacob!! I'm not kidding, we HAD to take pictures with them!

LOL. I know, we're such dorks! But I love it! Hey, you gotta have some excitement in your life! :) Especially when you're a stay at home mom, nursing every 3 hours, sleepless nights, dealing with a toddler, etc. That night was the funnest night I've had in a long time! Thanks sista's and cousins for having some fun! It totally felt like I was in high school again! :)

Katie's Birthday

My cute little niece Katie turned 6 years old! I can't believe how fast she's growing up. For her birthday she wanted to go to Chucky-Cheeses and then go to Build-a-bear. So they drove down from Idaho and we all went to Chucky-cheeses! It was Masons first time going and he was actually scared of the big characters that sang on the stage....yeah the pretend ones! hahaha But after a while he got use to it.

I sure love Katie and think she is just the cutest, and sweetest little girl. And of course I feel the same way about her sisters :) I'm happy that we got a chance to celebrate her birthday. We love her and can't wait to celebrate more birthdays together!

Cutest little baby

Man, time has already flown by with Brody! He is getting bigger and fatter everyday! He's been definitely more difficult with taking naps than Mason was. But I think he's starting to get the hang of it. He only wants to sleep for about a half an hour in the morning and evening, but he takes two really good naps in the afternoon about 2 hours long. So that's VERY nice. He's only getting up once at night, and has always gone right back to sleep after eating, thank goodness!!! But man, I sure do miss peaceful sleep! Hopefully soon, that day will come.

He had his first smile at 5 weeks, and I mean not smiling because he had gas. Actually smiling back at us when we would talk to him. He's always had a very strong head, being able to keep his head up and he's in the 70th percentile for weight. He's cooing and making all these cute noises. But boy can this kid whale! I mean when he gets going, it's so loud and just sad! But thankfully he doesn't cry a whole lot. He really is a happy baby and I just can't stop kissing his cheeks!

Build-a-Bear

My mom is here for 2 weeks! I'm so happy that she can help me with the kids, I don't know what I would do without her. She is the best mom and I'm so grateful that she is able to take 2 weeks out of her life for me.

She took Mason to Build-a-bear so he would feel special since there's a new addition to the family. For those of you that have never been, Build A Bear gives kids the chance to pick the style of bear they want, fill it with cotton stuffing and then turn them into the bear of their choice with outfits and accessories. Mason didn't quite grasp that concept. We asked him to pick out a bear and he did. But he picked a bear that was on display and was already filled as an example of what the Bear WILL look like. When we pulled the empty bear skin out of the box and handed it to him he got a little upset. He thought that when we said pick a bear, he would get THAT bear. After a few minutes of loving persuasion and convincing from his grandma he reluctantly let the stuffed bear go and took hold of the empty shell of a bear.

Next is the filling station. Even for a robust 2 year old like Mason, the filling machine is a big, loud, intimidating machine. You can see by the first picture that he needed support from grandma to push the "fill" pedal with his foot. Before they fill the bear with its fluffy stuffed bear guts, Mason could pick a sound to embed in its chest. There are bear growl sounds, voices saying I love you, Hello etc. but ultimately Mason picked the sound of a beating heart. Which, I like to think says something about him.

The bear was filled, his beating heart was inserted and he was sewed up and ready for an outfit. Mason chose a soccer uniform complete with shin pads and cleats for his bear "Gruff". He also picked out a little stuffed puppy to take home for Brody.

Thanks grandma for giving Mason a new bear and a special day of his own.

Dear Brody

Welcome to the world! Your dad and I are so happy to finally meet you! I wish I could tell you you're coming to a perfect and safe world. But unfortunately it's not perfect and safe. But we will do whatever it takes to protect you from harms way.

Now you know you have an older brother, Mason. I want you to know that I don't love you any less than Mason. I love you both equally. I can't wait to watch you grow up and see what kind of person you become. I hope that I can be a good mom to you. I do have many weaknesses and I will do my best to try and turn those into strengths. Hopefully we can work together...I'll help you, if you can help me get through these newborn months! :)

I love you already so much! I'll never forget when you first looked at me when you were born. They put you on my chest and you lifted your head up and looked right at me. I was so overwhelmed with emotion! It was as if you were waiting to see me.

I promise you that I will do my best in giving you what you need and to be the best mom for you. I love you with all my heart and can't wait to see your personality shine!
About to meet you for the first time!
